We hope this letter finds you and your family well. As we start the new year, the Board and management team of Taconnet are looking forward to welcoming you back to the island this summer.
For the 2023 season, we are excited to welcome back Steve and Suzanne Kaplan, who served as managers of Taconnet from 2002 to 2006. As returning managers, the Kaplans bring a wealth of experience to the operation of the island and are totally committed to offering you and your families an outstanding vacation experience. In addition to the new management team, there will be a new chef in place to provide the iconic, tasty food for which Taconnet is known.
We will continue the popular practice of eating meals outside at the picnic tables when weather permits, offering buffet breakfasts and lunches and family style dinners – including our traditional Saturday night welcome pizza buffet, Wednesday night BBQ, and Friday night lobster bake. During inclement weather, meal service will be moved into the dining room.
Due to the calendar, the 2023 Taconnet season will be seven weeks this summer with each guest week being Saturday to Saturday. Camp opens on Saturday, July 1st and runs through Saturday, August 19th. If you haven’t already, it is important that you get your reservations in as soon as possible to secure your spot for your preferred weeks.

Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of your $1,500 deposit (per cottage, per week). Our standard cancellation policy, which is posted on our website, will apply to all cancellations that occur after deposits are received.
We look forward to seeing all of you back at Taconnet for our 142nd season. There is no better place than Great Pond to share time with family and friends and enjoy all that Taconnet has to offer.
